We are proud to announce that Gerardo C. Mata, P.E. has completed all necessary requirements and training to be recognized by the National Council of Examiners for Engineering and Surveying (NCEES) as a licensed Professional Engineer in the State of Texas. 

Gerardo is a Project Engineer for Midtown Engineers and has been a crucial team member assisting with projects from Design, Subsurface Utility Engineering (SUE), and Utility Coordination. He has worked his way up through the ranks, starting out as an intern in 2014 and coming on full time in 2015. Gerardo’s achievement in satisfying all P.E. requirements is a testament to his commitment to continuous professional development and pursuit of excellence. 

P.E. requirements for the State of Texas require the following (from Texas Board of Professional Engineers and Land Surveyors): 

  • Must have graduated from an approved curriculum in engineering or related science (B.S., M.S., or Ph.D.);
  • Depending on degree accreditation, must have at least 4 or 8 years of creditable engineering experience referenced by a P.E.; 
  • Must have taken and passed the Fundamentals of Engineering (FE) Examination; and
  • Must have taken and passed the Principles and Practice of Engineering (P.E.) Exam.

We are proud to have another Professional Engineer on the Midtown Engineers team, and we know that Gerardo will continue to add value for all projects he takes part in.
