Midtown Engineers selected for Sugar Land Church - April 3, 2006 - Midtown Engineers was selected by
Dan Evans AIA Architects to perform civil engineering services for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints'
new Sugar Land, Texas site.  The project is the first Midtown Engineers venture for Dan Evans AIA Architects.  
Midtown Engineers' Principal David Ledoux said, "One of our core markets is civil/site development and we hope
to continue performing work for architects like Dan Evans AIA and other developers.  This
project and new client will help Midtown Engineers continue to make strides into this market and hopefully
continue to grow market share in the greater Houston area."

Ramon Herrera receives SAME Award - November 10, 2006 - Mr. Ramon A. Herrera, P.E., one of the
founding Principals of Midtown Engineers, will receive the Society of American Military Engineers (SAME)
Distinguished Member Award for 2007.  Ramon has been involved with SAME for over five years and currently
serves as the Community Program Committee Chair and the Young Members Director.  The Award will be
presented to Mr. Herrera, P.E. at the SAME installation meeting on January 17, 2007.  "Midtown Engineers
encourages our employees to participate in technical and professional organizations and Ramon Herrera has
demonstrated his professional excellence through his service to the SAME Houston Post.  We are very proud of
his accomplishments and we are excited about his future in the profession." said Mr. Terry L. McDaniel, P.E.
Hardy Toll Road - September 2007 - Midtown Engineers is pleased to announce that they will be
providing Utility Coordination services to the Hardy Toll Road Extension (HTRE) Design Team led by
Dannenbaum Engineering Corporation.  The HTRE will connect IH 10, US 59 and Downtown Houston to
the existing terminus of the Hardy Toll Road at IH 610.  
Joel R. Colwell, P.E., the Project Manager on the
project for Midtown Engineers says “The Hardy Toll Road Extension will be an important component of the
transportation system for the entire region.  Midtown Engineers is excited about being an integral part of
the Design Team on such a great project.”  The
Harris County Toll Road Authority has developed a
remarkable transportation system for the region and the HTRE will be the next addition of the system.  
With an ambitious opening date of late 2011, the HTRE will require cooperation and dedication from all

Midtown Engineers continues to expand its work on traffic studies and signalization design.  The following are a few

Private sector site development continues to be an expanding part of our business.  Midtown’s most recent
projects include various assignments at The Lynn Apartments in Baytown including construction administration,
assorted jobs at the Mini Warehouses on Baker Road featuring construction coordination, and involvement in
the site plan development for a Church in the Eagle Spring Subdivision.
