Morton Ranch Road - Midtown Engineers has been chosen by Harris County Precinct 3 to develop a Preliminary
Engineering Report and subsequent design drawings for Harris County Public Infrastructure Department on Morton
Ranch Road between Willamette Way Drive and Porter Road.  This project will also include the intersection with the
proposed Grand Parkway.  “Midtown Engineers is proud of our relationship with

METRO, February 2008 to November 2008-Midtown Engineers provided engineering design and coordination support
services for the METRO Intermodal Terminal (IT) Project as a sub consultant to
Dannenbaum Engineering Corporation.  
The Intermodal Terminal project is a mixed-used development project with a potential for 9.5 million square feet of
development (offices, retail and residential), creating what promises to be a phenomenal Transit Oriented Development
area.  The IT is located along the proposed METRO North Corridor project about a half-mile north of the University of
Houston-Downtown campus, and will become a hub for all Metro Light Rail Operations.  The final completed phase of
the project will include light rail, commuter rail, high-speed rail, METRO bus, private bus and passenger
vehicle/pedestrian access.   

Midtown Engineers principal
Ramon Herrera, P.E. and designer Eddie Bertsch were both part of the project team for
Phase 1A1 from February 2008 to November 2008.  Mr. Herrera was responsible for providing utility coordination,
subsurface utility engineering and engineering design services for many aspects of the project.  Mr. Berstch provided
design and CAD support for virtually every aspect of the project.  Both gentlemen have provided significant contributions
in roadway engineering, utility engineering, structural design, right-of-way acquisition, field investigations and weekly
coordination meetings with METRO.  The final design of the Intermodal Terminal is scheduled to be complete in late
2009.
Texas Avenue Streetscape, September 2008 – Midtown Engineers was chosen by the City of Baytown to provide design
engineering services for the reconstruction of Texas Avenue from Jones to Gaillard.  The project consists of paving,
drainage, public and private utilities and landscaping improvements.  Midtown Engineers Principal and life-long

Grand Parkway Toll Road, March 2009 – Harris County Toll Road Authority (HCTRA) has selected Midtown Engineers
to provide Utility Coordination services on Segment E of the Grand Parkway.  As the first segment to be constructed
between IH 10 and US 290, the Grand Parkway will be the newest outer loop around Houston and will be operated as
a toll road by
HCTRA.  Midtown Engineers will be providing Utility Coordination services on 3 of the 4 sections within
Segment E.  Midtown Engineers Principal
Joel R. Colwell, P.E. says “Midtown Engineers is pleased to be selected to
assist the Toll Road Authority on this regionally important project.”  Portions of the project are scheduled to be under
construction in 2010.
HCFCD Maintenance Repair Program, June 2009 – Harris County Flood Control District (HCFCD) has selected
Midtown Engineers to provide on-call design engineering services in support of their maintenance repair program.  
The maintenance repair program is key to maintaining and optimizing the District’s vast network of channels, detention
ponds and various other infrastructure.  Midtown Engineers Principal
